Hard to believe it’s that time of year again! I’ve already survived the crowds at Target shopping for School Supplies for my Grandchildren. I don’t remember it being so hard when I had four kids to buy for. I think they must need a lot more than they did then. Or maybe it’s because I’m older and combining 3 lists is harder now.
One thing I know my kids didn’t have to have is ear buds. Not sure what they are used for, guess they don’t have to listen to the teacher anymore.
But what I’m really excited about is the Iowa State Fair! The sights, the sounds, the smells. The saying is true, nothing compares to the Iowa State Fair. I seem to do the same things every year. One thing I want to do, I say every year I’m going to do it, is ride the tram up to the camp grounds. I’ll let you know if I make it this year or not. I’m sure I’ll eat something I shouldn’t and buy something I think I need but will never use.
Hope you’ve had a wonderful summer, doing all your favorite things. I hope to see you August 21st at Noah’s. Our speaker is Denise Forney, and she will be telling us about the changes in the generations. This will be very interesting, I’m sure!
