Metro Women's Network Iowa

Dinner meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except July and November/December) at local restaurants. We feature topics of interest to women presented by experts in each field, from women’s health to business etiquette and beyond! Suggestions for meeting topics, speakers and locations are welcome at rsvp@mwniowa.org.

All members are welcome to attend monthly steering committee meetings to discuss events, programs and issues affecting the membership as a whole.

March 18, 2010: Dinner Meeting (download flyer)

Join us for dinner with featured speaker Rebecca Meyer, at-home winner of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” season 8. Learn more about the Des Moines native’s inspiring, extraordinary journey toward health and wellness!

Meyer, 25, says, “I was fortunate enough not only to win, but to lose nearly half my body and come away with a better outlook on life.” She also met the love of her life, Daniel Wright, on the show. Daniel has since moved to Des Moines, and may join her at Ciao. Meyer is pursuing a career promoting health and wellness and plans to finish a degree in business and nutrition. She also hopes to become a certified personal trainer, with plans to pay it forward and help others achieve their goals.

Entrees: Choose a 6-oz. beef fillet with baked potato; bronzed salmon with wild rice; or chicken marsala with pasta. All meals include rolls, salad, green beans, dessert (cheesecake) and non-alcoholic beverages. Cash bar.

Fee: $25 for members and guests ($35 each for guests who attend three or more meetings)
